Programme description:

Nowadays the Computer Science is present everywhere in a human life. Computers are commonly used for working, getting and broadcasting of information, data processing, production management, air- sea- and land traffic control, communication, multimedia and etc. People, who are familiar with modern information techniques, who are able to force computers for use all their possibilities, who know how to exploit capabilities of complex computer networks and who are willing to write programs for a new sophisticated applications are wanted for almost all branches of human activity. Our graduates may obtain a professional knowledge in these and many other problems connected with the use of computers. They will be able to work with project management, software engineering, implementation and management of modern informatics’ systems. They will be also able to manage of data bases, internet services, computer systems and networks. They will know how to solve problems in these fields, starting from their analysis, building UML models, creation of algorithms and writing suitable software. Our graduates can get a job in big or small business, industry, telecommunication, administration, services, education, multimedia and many other places.

MSc in CHEMICAL ENGINEERING  starts in February


Faculty/Department: Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology

Duration: 3 semesters

Program of studies:
Theoretical and practical competences in Chemical Engineering, such as design, implementation and testing of production lines used in chemical industry or related industry branches. There are the following three specialties prepared within the study program: Engineering of Technological Processes, Engineering of Biotechnological Processes, and Engineering of Renewable Energy Sources. Currently, Engineering of Technological Processes is taught, but the other specialties can be implemented as well if students select them. Graduates of the Chemical Engineering program are employed both in management and R&D positions in chemical industry, while some continue their education at doctoral studies. Their extended knowledge and skills acquired in the study enables them to solve engineering and technological problems encountered in industry, improve existing products and processes or develop new ones, design new installations and apply professional engineering software for optimization of industrial processes within the scope of their specialty.


Education requirements:

1. Completion of Bachelor Program in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a chemistry- related discipline, equivalent to 210 ECTS credits, at the level of not less than 60% of maximum grade points in each credited course.
2. Bachelor Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering of chemistry-related discipline
3. Positive verification of B.Sc diploma and transcript of grades by the Admission Committee.
4. Competency in English at the level of at least B2.

MSc in Architecture

MSc in ARCHITECTURE  starts in February

Program of studies:

Starting from Spring Semester, the Faculty of Architecture Cracow University of Technology offers three semester (1.5-year) Master’s Degree Studies in English (M.Arch.).

The offer of these studies is meant for students with Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture and prepares them for professional practice as architects. The programme of studies is exactly the same as the curriculum in Polish which is a professional degree programme accredited by The Polish Accreditation Committee, The Accreditation Commission for Polish Universities of Technology, the EU evaluation as well as The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) evaluation. The programme of studies lasts for three semesters. The total number of ECTS credits is 90 (30 per semester). The total number of hours is 900 plus 150 for Internships after the 1st semester (1st semester: 405h +150h; 2nd semester: 390h, 3rd semester: 75h).

The Master of Architecture programme of studies focuses on a wide range of issues directly affecting contemporary architecture and urban design:

• Architectural and urban design in the fields of multifamily housing and public use buildings, • Spatial and regional planning,

• Preservation of monuments and revalorization of urban complexes with design for conservation,

• Landscape architecture, architecture and planning in the countryside,

• Building construction systems and building structures,

• Theory of architecture and urban design as well as spatial and regional planning,

• History of art, culture and contemporary urban design,

• Ecology and environmental protection. Design, history, theory and building structure    technology are taught to prepare students for professional registration as architects in the  European Union.

MSc in INNOVATIVE CHEMICAL TECHNOLOGIES starts in October 2017

Program description:

The Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology invites foreign students to enrol on 4-semester master studies in English for a major in Innovative Chemical Technologies (ICT). The studies are conducted within the project no. POWR.03.03.00-00-M070/16 titled “International programme of education on Innovative Chemical Technologies” subsidized from the European Union funds.

The first semester of the 4-semester master studies consists of an intensive course in the Polish language for foreigners, including tutorials in grammar, written language, communication, general vocabulary, reading and understanding text as well as specialized vocabulary, which will be conducted by experienced teachers from The International Centre of Education at the Cracow University of Technology (http://www.mck.pk.edu.pl/en ). Moreover, it includes revision and remedial classes in chemistry, mathematics, engineering graphics and theory of machines (for students who have completed 3-year bachelor studies).

Major and specialization courses related to industrial catalysis, organic and inorganic technology, production of cosmetics and pharmaceuticals, modern biotechnologies and analytical methods in chemical technology will be carried out from the 2nd to the 4th semester of the studies.

To cover the expenses of accommodation and stay in Poland throughout the period related to the studies syllabus (from October 2017 till June 2018; from October 2018 till June 2019) the Faculty ensures monthly scholarships in the amount of 1500 PLN for 12 best foreign students on condition that they complete the full cycle of studies and obtain a diploma upon the completion of the studies. In the case of resignation during the course of the studies the scholarship must be refunded.

Additionally, a summer school of the Polish language and culture for foreigners is planned to take place in Krakow in July 2018. This will consist of 12 days of intensive classes in not only Polish specialist vocabulary but also extended terminology related to cultural issues and films as well as additional visits to museums and places of historical and cultural significance. Every day will comprise 7 hours of tutorials; we also ensure meals as well as additional scholarship to cover accommodation (550 PLN/person).
