Admission requirements for the academic year 2026/27

Mathematics Entrance Exam

The mathematics entrance exam applies only to candidates specified in Article 70(5b) of the Act on Higher Education and Science. It does not apply to candidates applying for the following programs: Architecture and Industrial Design Engineering.

The exam will take place on July 24, 2026, on the Delta platform.

Before the exam, each candidate will receive an email containing their login credentials (username and password) as well as instructions on how to access the platform.

The exam lasts 90 minutes and is in the form of a single-choice test. It consists of 24 questions, and the maximum number of points that can be obtained is 40. Once you move on to the next question, it is not possible to return to previous ones.

Candidates are automatically registered for the exam if they are enrolled in the recruitment system and have submitted all required documents.

Faculty of Architecture

Programme of study: architecture – a full-time first-cycle program conducted in Polish, architecture – a full-time first-cycle program conducted in English, and architecture – a part-time first-cycle program conducted in Polish

  • admission period: from May 4, 2026 to July 17, 2026
  • eligibility criteria:
    • cover letter (written in English, addressed to Dean of the Faculty of Architecture),
    • the result in mathematics on the Matura exam (Polish/International) or the mathematics grade in school‑leaving certificate (applies to countries where matriculation or university entrance examinations are not carried out) – a minimum of 50%,
    • portfolio composed of the following elements:
      • 2 drawings made by hand in any technique, presenting an arrangement composed of elementary solids (such as: a cube, a cylinder, a pyramid, a cone, a prism, a cuboid, etc.) or derivatives of these solids – B2 format,
      • 1 nature drawing or painting work made by hand in any technique, presenting any still life – B2 format,
      • 2 landscape drawings made by hand, presenting any existing buildings or architectural objects – B2 format; 
      • 1 landscape drawing made by hand in any technique presenting a part of the city (e.g. avenue, street, market square, square, passage) – B2 format,
      • 3 architectural photographs – any format,
      • 3 works of art made by any technique (including computer, multimedia techniques, etc.) on any subject – any format.
      • candidate’s declaration of independent work

Photographs/scans of the drawings included in the portfolio should be merged into a single pdf file. 

The file containing the portfolio should be named as follows: Entry No-CANDIDATE’S LAST NAME-CANDIDATE’S FIRST NAME- CANDIDATE’S PASSPORT NUMBER.

A scan of the declaration of self-execution of the portfolio must be a separate pdf file. NOTE: Before scanning, the declaration must be completed and signed personally. An unsigned declaration is not valid. The file containing the declaration should be named as follows: No-CANDIDATE’S LAST NAME-CANDIDATE’S FIRST NAME-CANDIDATE’S PASSPORT NUMBER.

The works included in the portfolio should be photographed or scanned and sent electronically via WeTransfer to iro@pk.edu.pl.

Programme of study: architecture – a full-time master’s degree (second-cycle) program conducted in Polish, and architecture – a full-time master’s degree (second-cycle) program conducted in English

Candidates applying for the Master’s program in Architecture are required to hold a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.

  • admission period: from May 4, 2026 to July 17, 2026
  • eligibility criteria:
    • cover letter (written in English, addressed to Dean of the Faculty of Architecture),
    • the result in mathematics on the Matura exam (Polish/International) or the mathematics grade in school‑leaving certificate (applies to countries where matriculation or university entrance examinations are not carried out) – a minimum of 50%,
    • diploma of completion of the first-cycle studies (Bachelor’s degree),
    • a portfolio containing reduced-size reproductions: 
      • the complete set of drawings for an engineering thesis, 
      • the complete set of drawings of the two course projects completed during the first‑cycle (Bachelor’s) studies, selected by the applicant as their best work. 
      • candidate’s declaration of independent work

The works included in the portfolio should be printed, photographed, or scanned by the applicant and submitted electronically via WeTransfer to iro@pk.edu.pl.

Applicants are required to submit a personally signed statement 
in which:

a. the applicant shall declare that the documents attached to the portfolio are a copy of the engineering thesis submitted for the final examination and copies of two course projects completed at the university the candidate graduated from, which: 

  • were completed by the applicant personally as part of coursework projects and as part of the engineering thesis, 
  • have not been modified in any manner or by any means after the award of grades for the course design projects and after obtaining the relevant professional degree following the successful completion of the diploma examination, and no additional sheets prepared at a later time have been attached, 

b. the applicant must indicate the institution where they completed their bachelor’s degree and the date of graduation. The statement referred to above should be permanently attached to the portfolio -the candidate must submit the portfolio and the statement as a single file.

Programme of study: landscape architecture – full-time first-cycle studies conducted in Polish

  • admission period: from May 4, 2026 to July 17, 2026
  • eligibility criteria:
    • cover letter (written in English, addressed to Dean of the Faculty of Architecture),
    • the result in mathematics on the Matura exam (Polish/International) or the mathematics grade in school‑leaving certificate (applies to countries where matriculation or university entrance examinations are not carried out) – a minimum of 50%; The final decision will be made by the Associate Dean for Student Affairs in the Department of Landscape Architecture,
    • passing the mathematics entrance exam administered by the Krakow University of Technology (applies only to the candidates referred to in Art. 70 sec. Section 5b of the Act of July 20, 2018 – Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1571, as amended). The minimum exam score required for admission to the program is 30%. The exam will take place on July 24, 2026, on the Delta platform. Each eligible candidate will receive an email containing their login and password, along with instructions for logging in to the Delta platform. Programme of study: landscape architecture – full-time master’s degree (second-cycle) studies conducted in Polish or English

  • admission period: October 15, 2026 to February 5, 2027 
  • eligibility criteria:
    • cover letter (written in English, addressed to Dean of the Faculty of Architecture),
    • the result in mathematics on the Matura exam (Polish/International) or the mathematics grade in school‑leaving certificate (applies to countries where matriculation or university entrance examinations are not carried out) – a minimum of 50%,
    • a diploma confirming completion of studies or a certificate confirming completion of first‑cycle (Bachelor’s) studies issued by the higher education institution from which the candidate graduated. Such a certificate should include the final academic result in the form of a grade,
    • a portfolio containing reduced-size reproductions:
      • the complete set of drawings for an engineering thesis,
      • the complete set of drawings of the two course projects completed during the first‑cycle (Bachelor’s) studies, selected by the candidate as their best work. 

The works included in the portfolio should be printed, photographed, or scanned by the applicant and submitted electronically via WeTransfer to iro@pk.edu.pl.

Information regarding the names, format, and specifications of image files, as well as the platforms and addresses to which they should be submitted and the method of submission, will be provided to applicants on the PK admissions portal (rekrutacja.pk.edu.pl) no later than 14 days before the portfolio submission deadline specified in the admissions schedule. 

Applicants are required to submit a hand-signed statement in which:

    • for admission to the Computer Science (full-time) and Computer Science with Cyberpsychology – a minimum score of 90% in the mathematics result on the Matura exam (Polish/International) or the mathematics grade in school‑leaving certificate (applies to countries where there are no high school graduation exams or university entrance exams) and a minimum score of 90% on the mathematics entrance exam organized by the Krakow University of Technology on July 24, 2026, on the Delta platform – the exam applies exclusively to the candidates referred to in Art. 70 sec. Section 5b of the Act of July 20, 2018 – Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1571, as amended). Section 5b of the Act of July 20, 2018 – Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1571, as amended).   • documented Polish-language proficiency at least at the B2 level of CEFR,
  • candidates with the highest scores on the mathematics entrance exam will be admitted, subject to the specific enrollment limits for each program. 

Programme of study: Mathematics – a full-time master’s degree (second-cycle) program conducted in Polish

  • admission period: from May 4, 2026 to July 17, 2026
  • eligibility criteria:
    • Admission to the programme is based on an individual decision of the Dean of the Faculty, taken following an assessment of the submitted documents (including the diploma and diploma supplement), with due consideration of the specific learning outcomes published on the Faculty’s website. If the assessment of the alignment of specific learning outcomes is negative, applicants may request permission to take the competency test; the decision in this matter is made by the Dean, taking into account the admissions schedule for Polish citizens. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering, or an equivalent degree in a related field, and demonstrate documented Polish-language proficiency at least at the B2 level of CEFR. 
    • scoring threshold: Candidates can apply for admission if their average grade from the first-cycle courses is at least 70%,
    • candidates with the highest scores will be admitted, in accordance with the specified admission quotas for each program.

Programme of study: Computer Science – a full-time master’s degree (second-cycle) program conducted in Polish and Applied Mathematics– a full-time master’s degree (second-cycle) program conducted in Polish

  • admission period: from October 15, 2026 to February 5, 2027
  • eligibility criteria:
    • Admission to the programme is based on an individual decision of the Dean of the Faculty, taken following an assessment of the submitted documents (including the diploma and diploma supplement), with due consideration of the specific learning outcomes published on the Faculty’s website. If the assessment of the alignment of specific learning outcomes is negative, applicants may request permission to take the competency test; the decision in this matter is made by the Dean, taking into account the admissions schedule for Polish citizens. Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering or an equivalent degree in a related field, and demonstrate documented Polish-language proficiency at a minimum B2 level; additionally, for the computer science program, they must demonstrate documented English-language proficiency at least at the B2 level of CEFR. 
    • scoring threshold: Candidates can apply for admission if their average grade from the first-cycle courses is at least 80%,
    • candidates with the highest scores will be admitted, in accordance with the specified admission quotas for each program.

Programme of study: Computer Science – a part-time master’s degree (second-cycle) program conducted in Polish

  • admission period: from May 4, 2026 to July 17, 2026
  • eligibility criteria:

  • eligibility criteria: a minimum score of 75% in the International/Polish Matura examination in mathematics or the mathematics grade in school‑leaving certificate (applies to countries where there are no high school graduation exams or university entrance exams) and a minimum score of 30% on the mathematics entrance exam organized by the Krakow University of Technology on July 24, 2026, on the Delta platform – the exam applies exclusively to the candidates referred to in Art. 70 sec. Section 5b of the Act of July 20, 2018 – Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1571, 1871, and 1897, and from 2025, item 619, 620, 621, and 622).   • eligibility criteria:
    • civil engineering –  a program conducted in Polish: 
      a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and knowledge of Eurocodes (confirmed, for example, by completion of an appropriate course),
    • civil engineering – studies in English: a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and knowledge of Eurocodes (confirmed, for example, by a completed course); English proficiency documented by a CPE, CAE, FCE, TOEFL, IELTS, or an equivalent, an International Baccalaureate diploma, or a certificate confirming graduation from a high school where English was the language of instruction, or a high school diploma confirming a score of at least 60% in English on the advanced level exam (graduates of programs where English was the language of instruction are exempt from submitting documents confirming their knowledge of English),
    • transportation and logistics: must hold at least a bachelor’s degree in engineering. Applicants who have completed studies in a technical field other than transportation, logistics and freight forwarding, or transportation and logistics, are required to obtain a positive result in a test verifying learning outcomes, organised by the Faculty of Civil Engineering (the test topics and the rules for conducting the test are published on the WIL website: https://wil.pk.edu.pl/rekrutacja-zasady/).

  • requirements and portfolio evaluation:
    • the substantive assessment of the applicant’s portfolio in terms of completeness and compliance with the applicable criteria is carried out by the Faculty Examination Committee appointed by the Dean of the faculty. The decisions of the Committee’s assessment of the portfolio are final; 
    • please attach your portfolio—consisting of 2 or more PDF files, each up to 2 MB in size—to your application in the online recruitment system; 
    • along with the portfolio, applicants are required to submit a self-signed declaration statement, the template of which is attached to the Rector’s regulation on templates for recruitment documents for applicants seeking admission to the first year of full-time and part-time first- and second-cycle studies commencing in the academic year 2026/27, in which the applicant declares that the works attached to the portfolio were created by the applicant personally; 
    • the portfolio must include the applicant’s own works presented in the form of drawings, sketches, reproductions and photographs. The portfolio must contain 21 sheets, of which: 
      • sheet 1 should contain a photo, the name of the applicant and information about the applicant’s interests; 
      • sheets 2-11 must show presentations of the applicant’s own works (artworks, paintings, photographs, including photographs of the candidate’s own works such as sculptures, mock-ups, etc.); 
      • sheets 12-21 should present designs, ideas, concepts of utility objects presented in drawings, sketches, photographs of mock-ups, etc;
      • None of the sheets 2-21 can be signed or marked in any way. In addition, sheet 1 cannot be in the same file as the other sheets. 
    • the portfolio will be assessed according to the following criteria: 
      • sheets 2-11: degree of originality of works, aesthetics of works, technique of execution, 0-25 points;
      • sheets 11-21: applicant’s own ideas of utility objects, prototype realizations, interest in innovations, 0-25 points;
      • the maximum number of points that can be earned is 50, and the minimum number of points an applicant must earn to proceed to the next stage of the selection process is 20.
    • applicants have the right to personally inspect the individual portfolio assessment protocols within the time limit specified in the recruitment schedule, after submitting a written application, in accordance with the template placed on the PK CUT recruitment website;
