First-cycle (Bachelor) Studies
- Applications for programs beginning in the winter semester will open on May 4 and will remain open until July 17, 2026.
Second-cycle (Master) Studies
- Applications for programs beginning in the winter semester will open on October 15, 2026, and will remain open until February 5, 2027.
Faculty of Architecture
- Applications for bachelor’s and master’s degree programs on the Faculty of Architecture will open on May 4 and remain open until July 17, 2026.
The admission guidelines for the 2026/2027 academic year are currently being finalized. We will publish the full admission criteria for programs taught in Polish and English shortly.

Applicants to most bachelor’s degree programs are required to take an entrance exam in mathematics. We encourage you to familiarize yourself with the topics.

Applicants must submit a complete set of documents via the online system. The deadline for submitting files is the end of the application period.
- Digital photo,
- completed and signed application form,
- scan of a passport (for non-EU applicants) or an ID card (for EU applicants),
- scan of a visa/residence card/other document authorizing residence in Poland for the duration of the studies,
- high school diploma with an Apostille or NAWA legalization,
- high school diploma transcript (if the diploma does not include grades) with an Apostille or NAWA legalization,
- certificate of results from the matura examination/foreign high school graduation exam/other equivalent exam results,
- decision on the recognition of foreign education issued by the Director of NAWA,
- proof of payment of the application fee,
- parental consent to pursue studies (for underage applicants),
- documents confirming proficiency in the language of the study programme (Polish or English on minimum B2 level),
- documents confirming possession of health insurance in the territory of the Republic of Poland (amounting minimum 30 000 euro, valid for the whole period of stay in Poland).

Due to the spread of false information regarding the document verification process conducted by the National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA), we would like to inform you that it is not possible to accelerate the process of obtaining a certificate from the Director of NAWA through paid intermediaries. Diploma recognition is a free service and applications can only be submitted through the Agency’s official website.

DOCUMENTS CERTIFYING KNOWLEDGE OF THE LANGUAGE
International applicants may enroll in programs taught in Polish at the Cracow University of Technology if they provide documentation certifying their proficiency in Polish at a level of at least B2.
These documents are:
- certificate of proficiency in the Polish language, as referred to in Article 11a, paragraph 2, of the Act of October 7, 1999, on the Polish Language (Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1556, and of 2025, item 622);
- certificate attesting to proficiency in Polish issued by an institution:
- European Consortium for the Certificate of Attainment in Modern Languages (ECL) or
- telc GmbH, WBT Weiterbildungs-Testsysteme GmbH (TELC);
- certificate of completion of a preparatory course for university studies, as referred to in Article 60, paragraph 4, of the Act of December 12, 2013, on Foreigners (Journal of Laws of 2024, items 769, 1222, and 1688, and of 2025, items 619, 621, and 622), which lasts no less than 9 months.
- The following documents also certify proficiency in Polish at a level of B2 or higher:
- a degree diploma issued by a higher education institution operating within the Polish higher education system, where the language of study was Polish;
- bachelor’s degree, master’s degree or a single-cycle master’s degree in philology (Polish language) or applied linguistics issued by a foreign university, along with a diploma supplement or a certificate confirming that the number of hours of Polish language studies was at least 500;
- certificate of qualification to practice as a sworn translator issued by the Minister of Justice, as referred to in Article 5, paragraph 2, of the Act of November 25, 2004, on the profession of sworn translator (Journal of Laws of 2019, item 1326) or a certificate confirming registration on the list of sworn translators.
International applicants may enroll in programs taught in English at the Cracow University of Technology if they provide documentation certifying their proficiency in English across the four language skills -listening, reading, speaking, and writing – at the B2, C1, or C2 proficiency levels.
The documents are issued by the following institutions:
- University of Cambridge, ESOL Examinations: B2 First (FCE), C1 Advanced (CAE), C2 Proficiency (CPE), B2 Business Vantage (BEC Vantage), C1 Business Higher, Certificate in English for International Business and Trade (CEIBT);
- University of Cambridge, ESOL Examinations, British Council, IDP IELTS Australia: International English Language Testing System IELTS – at least 5.5 points,
- Trinity College London: ESOL Skills for Life – Level 1 (B2) or higher, Integrated Skills in English (ISE) – ISE II or higher, ISE Digital – over 80 points (B2);
- Educational Testing Service (ETS): Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) in Internet-Based Test (iBT) version – at least 72 points, Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC) – at least 785 points in Listening & Reading part, 150 points in Speaking and 160 pints in Writing;
- Pearson Assessment English: Pearson English International Certificate – paper and digital version (previously Pearson Test of English General (PTE) or London Tests of English) – Level 3 (Edexcel Certificate in ESOL International Level 1 – graded Pass, Merit, Distinction) or higher, Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) in-person or online – at least 59 points;
- LanguageCert (PeopleCert Qualifications (PCQ)): LanguageCert International ESOL – LanguageCert Level 1 Certificate in ESOL International (Listening, Reading, Writing) (Communicator B2), also known as: LanguageCert International ESOL Communicator B2 Listening, Reading, Writing or higher, together with LanguageCert Level 1 Certificatein ESOL International (Speaking) (Communicator B2), also known as: LanguageCert International ESOL Communicator B2 Speaking or higher, LanguageCert Academic – LanguageCert Level 1 Certificate in ESOL International (Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking) (LanguageCert Academic B2) or higher, LanguageCert Test of English – LanguageCert Level 1 Certificate in ESOL International (Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking) (LanguageCert Test of English B2) or higher;
- Education Development International (EDI), London Chamber of Commerce and Industry Examinations Board: London Chamber of Commerce and Industry Examinations (LCCI): English for Business Level 2 or higher, Foundation Certificate for Teachers of Business English (FTBE);
- European Consortium for the Certificate of Attainment in Modern Languages – Level B2 (Vantage) or higher;
- telc GmbH, WBT Weiterbildungs-Testsysteme GmbH: Certificate in English, Certificate in English for Business Purposes, Certificate in English for Technical Purposes, telc English, telc English Business, telc English Technical, telc English University;
- a certificate of completion of a preparatory course for university studies, as referred to in Article 60 paragraph 4 of the Act of December 12, 2013, on Foreigners, which lasts no less than 9 months, certifying proficiency in a given foreign language in the four language skills: listening comprehension, reading, speaking, and writing, at the B2, C1, or C2 proficiency level;
- a bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, or a single-cycle master’s degree in philology (in the relevant foreign language) or applied linguistics issued by a higher education institution operating within the higher education system of the Republic of Poland or by a foreign higher education institution, together with a diploma supplement or a certificate confirming that the number of study hours in that foreign language was at least 500;
- bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, or unified master’s degree issued by a higher education institution operating within the higher education and science system of the Republic of Poland or by a foreign higher education institution, containing information about the language of instruction; and if the degree does not contain such information – additionally, a diploma supplement or a certificate containing information about the language of instruction;
- International Baccalaureate Diploma – with regard to the main language;
- European Baccalaureate Diploma – for the first (L1) or second (L2) language;
- certificate of qualification to practice as a sworn translator issued by the Minister of Justice, as referred to in Article 5, paragraph 2, of the Act of November 25, 2004, on the profession of sworn translator (Journal of Laws of 2019, item 1326) or a certificate confirming registration on the list of sworn translators.
All fees must be paid via an individual account (€), which is automatically generated for applicants who are not Polish citizens after they complete the online registration. The account number can be found at the bottom of the application form, in your profile on the Virtual Dean’s Office and in the agreement signed with CUT at the beginning of your studies.

FREE OF CHARGE FULL TIME STUDIES IN POLISH LANGUAGE FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
Subject to Article 324 section 2 of the Law on Higher Education (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1668)
Tuition fees for full-time programs taught in Polish are waived for:
- a citizen of a Member State of the European Union, the Swiss Confederation, or a Member State of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) – a party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, and their family members residing in the territory of the Republic of Poland;
- a non-Polish citizen who has been granted a permanent residence permit or a long-term resident of the European Union;
- a non-Polish citizen who has been granted a temporary residence permit in connection with the circumstances referred to in Article 159 section 1 or Article 186 section 1 clauses 3 or 4 of the Act of 12 December 2013 on Foreigners (Journal of Laws of 2017, items 2206 and 2282 as well as of 2018, items 107, 138 and 771);
- a non-Polish citizen with the status of a refugee assigned in the Republic of Poland or who enjoys temporary protection or subsdiary protection on the territory of the Republic of Poland;
- a non-Polish citizen – holder of a certificate certifying the knowledge of Polish as a foreign language, reffered to in Article 11a section 2 of the Act of 7 October 1999 on the Polish language (Journal of Laws of 2018 item 931), at the C1 level or higher;
- a holder of a valid Pole’s Card or a person who was issued a decision regarding the confirmation of their Polish origin;
- a non-Polish citizen who is a spouse, ancestor or descendent of a citizen of the Republic of Poland, residing in the territory of the Republic of Poland;
- a non-Polish citizen who has been grantd a temporary residence permit in connection with the circumstances reffered to in Article 151 section 1 or Article 151b section 1 of the Act of 12 December 2013 on foreigners, or staying on the territory of the Republic of Poland in connection with a short-term mobility visa in order to cunduct scientific research or development works.
