Language requirements for international exchange students (non-Erasmus) from partner universities
All exchange program candidates are required to present one of the following documents certifying the command of English:
- English philology diploma
- Diploma of English-taught undergraduate or graduate studies completion
- Diploma of high school completion with English as the language of instruction
- International Baccalaureate Diploma
- Certificate of passing a ministerial exam
- Certificate confirming the knowledge of the English language issued by KSAP
- Document confirming the entry into the Record of Sworn Translators
- First Certificate in English (FCE)
- Certificate in Advanced English (CAE)
- Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE)
- Business English Certificate (BEC) Vantage — at least "Pass"
- Business English Certificate (BEC) Higher
- Certificate in English for International Business and Trade (CEIBT)
- International English Language Testing System IELTS — 6.0 +
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) — Internet-Based Test (iBT) at least 87 points
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) — Computer-Based Test (CBT) at least 180 points + Test of Spoken English (TSE) at least 50 points
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) — Paper-Based Test (PBT) at least 500 points + Test of Written English (TWE) at least 3.5 points + Test of Spoken English (TSE) at least 50 points
- Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC) — at least 700 points
- European Consortium for the Certificate of Attainment in Modern Languages (ECL)
- English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) — First Class Pass at Intermediate Level, Higher Intermediate Level, Advanced Level;

take CUT English language exam – a fee based, online test and an online interview organized by the CUT Foreign Languages Centre (SJO).
The CUT English language exam consists of the written part (listening, reading, grammar and lexical part) and the oral part (checking communication skills). If you pass the exam, you will receive a CUT certificate confirming the knowledge of the English language corresponding to the B2 level.
The exam is conducted online, in real time, and is assessed by two examiners.
Exam dates:
between 20 and 25 May (for Fall Semester exchange)
between 20 and 25 November (for Spring Semester exchange)
A fee of PLN 220 or EUR 50 for the examination and issuance of a certificate should be transferred to a bank account of the Cracow University of Technology by:
May 15 (for Fall Semester exchange)
November 15 (for Fall Semester exchange)
