Language requirements for international exchange students (non-Erasmus) from partner universities
All exchange program candidates are required to present one of the following documents certifying the command of English:
The list of eligible certificates of English language
- University of Cambridge, ESOL Examinations:
- B2 First (FCE),
- C1 Advanced (CAE),
- C2 Proficiency (CPE),
- B2 Business Vantage (BEC Vantage),
- C1 Business Higher,
- Certificate in English for International Business and Trade (CEIBT)
- University of Cambridge, ESOL Examinations, British Council, IDP IELTS Australia: International English Language Testing System IELTS – at least 5.5 points,
- Trinity College London:
- ESOL Skills for Life – Level 1 (B2) or above,
- Integrated Skills in English (ISE) – ISE II or above,
- ISE Digital – more than 80 points (B2),
- Educational Testing Service (ETS):
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) in the Internet-Based Test (iBT) – at least 72 points,
- Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC) – at least: 785 points in Listening & Reading part and 150 points in Speaking part and 160 points in Writing part,
- Pearson Assessment English:
- Pearson English International Certificate – paper and computer version (previously known as Pearson Test of English General (PTE) or London Tests of English) – Level 3 (Edexcel Certificate in ESOL International Level 1 – mark Pass, Merit, Distinction) or above,
- Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) in onsite and online version – at least 59 points,
- LanguageCert (PeopleCert Qualifications (PCQ)):
- LanguageCert International ESOL – LanguageCert Level 1 Certificate in ESOL International (Listening, Reading, Writing) (Communicator B2), also known as LanguageCert International ESOL Communicator B2 Listening, Reading, Writing or above jointly with the LanguageCert Level 1 Certificatein ESOL International (Speaking) (Communicator B2), also known as LanguageCert International ESOL Communicator B2 Speaking or above,

take CUT English language exam – a fee based, online test and an online interview organized by the CUT Foreign Languages Centre (SJO).
The CUT English language exam consists of the written part (listening, reading, grammar and lexical part) and the oral part (checking communication skills). If you pass the exam, you will receive a CUT certificate confirming the knowledge of the English language corresponding to the B2 level.
The exam is conducted online, in real time, and is assessed by two examiners.
Exam dates:
between 20 and 25 May (for Fall Semester exchange)
between 20 and 25 November (for Spring Semester exchange)
A fee of PLN 220 or EUR 50 for the examination and issuance of a certificate should be transferred to a bank account of the Cracow University of Technology by:
May 15 (for Fall Semester exchange)
November 15 (for Fall Semester exchange)
