Program description:

The Civil Engineering programme provides education for specialists with broad qualifications in the design and execution of all types of buildings and civil engineering structures, such as buildings, roads, bridges, railway lines, shell structures, tanks, underground structures, constructed using reinforced concrete, masonry, steel, or timber technologies.
The Civil Engineering programme also prepares students to supervise and manage construction processes. The curriculum covers issues related to the maintenance, operation, and modernisation of all types of structures, as well as the restoration and redevelopment of building resources.
The programme is conducted in English and has an international character. The knowledge provided during the course of study is based on the achievements of modern technology, including the use of computer methods, information technologies, and the latest solutions in construction equipment, materials, and structural systems.
The curriculum includes social, economic, legal, and other non-technical aspects of engineering activity. During the programme, students also undertake professional internships, which may be completed in leading companies operating in the construction sector.
The programme offers seven different elective course blocks / diploma specialisation profiles, including: Computer Modelling, Special Concrete Structures, Building Materials Engineering and Protection of Structures Against Corrosion, Metal Structures, Bridge and Underground Structures, Building Design – Form, Function and Energy, and Planning and Cost Analysis. The wide range of courses enables students to tailor their educational path to their individual needs and interests.
